Graphic Designer or Design Agency? Write a Clear Company Brief

When a company asks for graphic design support, the job title alone does not explain what must be delivered. In Turkish, “grafiker” and “grafik tasarimci” are commonly used professional descriptions. Searches such as “grafikci”, “grafikerci” or “tasarimci grafiker” may point to the same need, but they do not define a project scope. A useful brief makes the expected work clear.
Describe the output before choosing a title
A marketing team may need a new campaign concept, adaptations of an approved visual or print-ready artwork. These are different responsibilities. Separate concept development, layout, adaptations, presentation and production files so that the designer and the company understand who owns each step. A request for a designer should not silently include photography, advertising management and copywriting.
What does a designer need to decide?
Explain whether you need work within an existing identity or a new visual approach. Give concrete examples: a campaign master visual, a catalogue page system or a complete identity refresh. Each involves a different amount of exploration and review. Comparing them using the same deadline and budget makes proposals difficult to assess fairly.
Freelance designer or agency?
A defined deliverable may be suitable for direct work with an independent specialist. Several disciplines, overlapping campaigns and regular production coordination may benefit from an agency arrangement. Team size is not the only deciding factor. Ask who leads the work, who reviews it and who is responsible for delivery. Creative House plans graphic design and advertising work around an agreed scope.
What belongs in a quote request?
Introduce your business and audience. Share approved brand files, available text and photographs, required dimensions and your target publication date. Identify decision makers and the feedback process. If printing, advertising spend or software development is also needed, list it separately from design. This prevents omitted costs from appearing late in the project.
Discuss graphic design agency support when several deliverables need coordinated direction. For a clearly defined individual project, review the freelance design service.
Does a job title guarantee suitability?
No. Review relevant portfolio examples, the person's responsibility in those projects and the proposed delivery process. A clear brief helps both sides decide whether the working arrangement fits.
