Preparing a Roll-up Order for Company Events

About 2 minutes to read
Ordering a roll-up involves more than selecting an image and a size. Procurement, marketing and the printer need a shared understanding of where it will stand, who will see it and how often it will be used. Without that context, an approved design may still be unsuitable on the day of the event.
Separate temporary information from lasting messages
Dates, room numbers and campaign details expire quickly. The company's core offer can remain useful for longer. If the display travels between events, consider placing variable information on a separate item rather than reprinting the entire surface every time.
Compare three separate deliverables
Design, printing and the retractable mechanism may come from different suppliers. Compare quotations accordingly, including the carrying case, delivery address and assembly requirements. Ask the producer for the visible print area and the portion retained inside the base. Check that the approved design matches the production file.
Plan storage and reuse
Keep the final artwork, dimensions and supplier information in a shared location. The next event team should not need to search old email threads. Have the recipient inspect both print quality and the mechanism before the event.
A roll-up is not simply an enlarged brochure. Distinguish the short message seen from a corridor from information read close up. Bring these usage and production details when discussing graphic design support with Creative House.
