Checking Motion Content Before Publication

About 2 minutes to read

Plan visual approval and final publishing checks separately for motion content. An approved preview does not prove that the exported file meets every delivery requirement.

Brief the publishing conditions early

State where the content will play, its aspect ratio, audio needs and required versions. Do not leave subtitles or additional languages until the end. Allow time for technical export and review as well as design. Confirm the required format against the publishing destination's current specifications.

Inspect more than the picture

Check duration, opening and closing frames, text reading time, audio and transparency where relevant. Play the export in the intended environment or an appropriate preview. Evaluate whether the message remains understandable without sound. After a technical change, confirm that the previously approved visual content has been preserved.

Give the producer actionable error records

Identify the file, time position and environment where a problem occurs. For a render failure, provide the error message and reproduction steps rather than a general statement that it does not work. The producer should diagnose the source project; the publisher should not conceal the problem through random format conversions. Current vendor documentation can support that investigation.

Leave a reproducible archive

Separate the publishing export, editable project and dependencies clearly. Retain licence and usage information. Defining these delivery boundaries alongside visual approval in creative direction makes later language and format adaptations more manageable.
