Bringing Distribution Decisions into Poster and Flyer Design

About 2 minutes to read
In a printed campaign, where the material appears matters as much as what it says. A flyer handed out near a store, a poster on an event board and a document left after a sales meeting need different levels of detail. Include distribution decisions in the creative brief.
Define the next action
A visit, application, enquiry or product comparison requires a different message. Choose the campaign's priority rather than listing every service. Dates and addresses should remain easy to find instead of disappearing among decorative elements.
Approve a physical example before volume production
Inspect the artwork at its actual size before increasing the print quantity. Review readability, image quality and the order of folded panels where relevant. If there is a QR code, opening its destination on a phone belongs in the approval process. Encoding a link does not establish that the destination contains the right information.
Control campaign changes
Identify which files need branch, language or date adaptations. Assign a content owner to check commercial information before printing. Visual approval from the design team is not automatic confirmation that a price or promotional claim is correct.
Track distribution, printing and design costs separately to support later evaluation. Include placement, quantity, dimensions and objectives when briefing Creative House's graphic design service. Those details determine how the same idea should be simplified for different materials.
